Management of the UCSF FlowJo site license has transferred from the Gladstone Flow Core to the Research Resource Program! The UCSF FlowJo site license is available to UCSF, UCSC, Gladstone, and BSRI researchers.

About FlowJo at UCSF

FlowJo is an analysis platform for flow cytometry data. The current UCSF license year runs from July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018. To use FlowJo, your computer must be connected to the internet for registration verification. Any connection (even dial-up) will work - it does not have to be located at UCSF.

If you need to transfer a purchased license to a new computer at any time in the year, please email RRPSoftware@ucsf.edu, and indicate the user name and the new and old HWA numbers.

Getting Access to FlowJo

Click here to register your computer and take advantage of the institutional FlowJo license at UCSF.

There is an annual rate of $210 for a license for each computer; registrations are valid through the end of the license term (June 30, 2018).

For partial-year registrations:

  • Register October 1, 2017 - December 31, 2017: $161

Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA)

Access to the software via the UCSF shared license will end on January 6, 2018. QIAGEN will only allow two users to log in at a time through this date. If you are locked out, we recommend trying to log in during non-peak hours.

For more information an alternative solutions, please visit: https://www.library.ucsf.edu/data-science/bioinformatics/

If you are interested in coordinating with other labs/users to share a one or two seat license between labs, please let us know and we are happy to put you in contact with other interested labs. You will, however, need to pay in advance for the license. Price will have to be negotiated with QIAGEN and will depend on number of seats purchased.

If you need to use IPA - use it now! After January 6, you will no longer be able to log in. Be sure to download all of your data before then!

The UCSF IPA site license is available to UCSF researchers only - users must provide a UCSF payment source.

About IPA at UCSF

IPA provides UCSF researchers with access to the most current knowledge available on genes, drugs, biomarkers, chemicals, protein families, cellular and disease processes, and signaling and metabolic pathways. The most common uses for IPA include interpretation of microarray, NGS or proteomic datasets, exploratory investigation of genes, proteins, chemical, and biological functions, creating customized pathways or molecular interaction networks focused on drug targets, biomarkers, processes, and diseases, comparing pathways to indentify common, unique, or union of pathway participants, designing publication quality pathway or network figures, identifying potential biomarkers.

Getting Access to IPA (only available through 1/6/2018)

Click here to request access to the institutional IPA license at UCSF through 1/6/2018.

There is an hourly rate of $69, billed in quarter hours, for use of the software.
