The Western Association of Core Directors annual meeting will be held September 21-22, 2017 in Santa Cruz, CA. The theme for this year's meeting is Dream, Design, Discover –  Embracing Change in Cores and Careers. This year's Keynote Speaker is Dr. Holden Maecker from Stanford University School of Medicine. Associate Vice Chancellor Brian Smith recently released an update regarding the closure of the Cell Culture Facility (CCF) Resale unit. The S-1000 location at Parnassus will close on July 21, 2017. A Lifetech Self-Service Supply Center is expected to be operational as of July 21, 2017. Feel free to contact Greg Macway (greg.macway@ucsf.edu) in Supply Chain Management with any questions you have about the supply centers.

The Media Production unit, which will remain open and provide CCF brand media, has released a guide for purchasing media, serum, buffers, and other supplements for cell culture. This unit can deliver items ordered via MyCORES to UCSF labs next-day.

As of fiscal year 2017-2018, management of the UCSF FlowJo license has transferred from the Gladstone Flow Core to the UCSF Research Resource Program.

The new license year is set to begin July 1, 2017 and continue through June 30, 2018. Register now to have access beginning July 1.
