On behalf of the ETAC, and the EVCP's office, the Research Resource Program is proud to announce that for the Spring 2013 cycle of the Funding Shared Equipment Awards, seven projects have been awarded funding for a total of $1,001,917.

Created in 2012, these awards are designed to fund transformational technologies and instrumentation which support the development of Enabling Technology Centers (cores) at UCSF. The Chancellor allocated an additional $1mm in funding for these awards in Round 2.

We are pleased to announce the second round of this award program developed in 2012 to support and fund Enabling Technology Centers (cores) at UCSF. The Chancellor has allocated an additional $1MM for investment in transformational technologies and instrumentation to support the development of existing and new Enabling Technology Centers.

The UCSF Research Resource Program (RRP) is proud to announce that for the Fall 2012 cycle of the Core Exploratory Award program, fifteen projects have been awarded funding totaling $66,674. Details on the projects that will receive funding can be found below.

Created by the RRP in collaboration with CTSI-SOS, these awards enable researchers to explore the use of new technologies or services available in existing core facilities at UCSF.

Core Exploratory Awards will be offered again during the upcoming Spring 2013 RAP cycle. The application deadline is February 25, 2013, and the call for applications will go out on January 28th. Please check the RAP website (rap.ucsf.edu) for more information.

We received many excellent proposals this cycle, and we look forward to the continued success of this award program.

Ten core facilities on campus have been selected to receive a collective $2 million in funds from the Chancellor’s office to expand and improve access to transformative research technologies across UCSF.
